Update on Rylin

I went to the doctor today. I saw Dr. Fowers this time again. He said that I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I am 36 1/2 weeks along right now. Hopefully this baby comes a little early like Macie did. I am feeling okay right now most of the time. Nights are not very fun at all. The nerves by my hips hurt really bad during the nightime. I am very excited to sleep on my back again. My legs and feet have been swelling pretty bad lately. They are doing good today, not too much swelling. I really wanted to have her when I was 37 weeks along but now I am trying to hold off because Macie has had a really bad cough for a week now and I am a little sick right now too. Hopefully we will all be better by the time Rylin comes.

Ultrasound on Rylin

We had an ultrasound on Rylin today because my tummy has been measuring big and the doctor wanted to know what was going on. Well we found out that it is definitely a girl. So her name will be Rylin. She is also measuring right on time. Dr. Fower's said she is measuring in the 56th percentile. He said that I have a lot of fluid in my tummy or placenta and that is probably why I am measuring big. The lady that did the ultrasound said she is right on time and she is very active and is just very happy inside me. She said things look really good. She said that Rylin is probably just under 6 pounds or she said just over 6 pounds, I can't remember for sure. We also got to see her face. She is so cute. I am so excited to meet her. The picture above is where you can see that it is a girl most definitely. There is an arrow pointing right between her legs and bum.

This is a picture of her head. She is sideways. You can see her eyes, nose, and mouth and at least one of her arms and hands. So cute. They couldn't do a 3D picture for some reason. The lady said you wouldn't be able to see her on a 3D how she was positioned.

Macie's new adventure

So Dustin and I taught Macie how to have a little more fun on her big wheel. Our sidewalk slopes a little and we put her up on the side walk and then told her to lift her feet up and just let herself go. She would start sailing down the sidewalk right into the grass that would stop her. We took a video and this is the only time she crashed. Luckily it was on the grass. She absolutely loves doing this. She kept doing it over and over again. After awhile it was like she wouldn't even look where she was going. She would just get on her bike and go. I think I need to buy her a helmet because it makes me nervous that she will probably crash on the pavement. She was riding her cousin Brookelyn's bike at first and then she had to go and get hers too and try both of them. Her uncle Matt came outside and made the comment that he thinks Macie is going to be a lot like her dad. She is a funny girl.

Don't throw up mom.

So I am learning a lot about what I say to my daughter by listening to her talk. We were in the car driving today and I told Macie I felt like I really needed to throw up. She said "I'll be so mad if you throw up in the car." I asked her why she would be mad because if I throw up I have to clean it up and if she throws up I also have to clean it up. She then said "if you throw up I will clean it up." That is a sign of true love right there. I love my daughter!

We had a really fun Easter. Here is Macie posing with her Easter basket that she found in the computer cupboard. A place she loves to hide. Lately when we tell her to smile and say cheese, she smiles so big that her eyes close. It reminds me of her uncle Matt when he was little.

As soon as she found her basket she immediately stuffed a big malt candy in her mouth and had to spit it out a few seconds later because it was too big for her.

Such a cute girl. When we went to church she would see other girls in their Easter dresses and comment how cute their Easter dress was too.
On Saturday night we put her hair up in curlers. She didn't complain at all and seemed to sleep just great.

We colored Eater eggs on Saturday night too. Macie loved to drop the di pills in the cups and after watching each one a few seconds said she wanted to do it again. Grandpa Liechty came over and watched us color eggs for awhile too. I think Dustin and I had more fun coloring eggs than Macie did. She loved to put stickers on the eggs and color on them with the crayon.

Some funny things Macie says...

Macie often says things that make Dustin and I laugh so hard. She has more and more as she gets older. A few of her sayings lately are:

Macie is not the greatest at minding mom and dad, especially lately. So a few days ago she started saying to us "You listen to me, you need to mind me."

The other day we were driving in the car and somehow got onto talking about monsters and dragons. Macie has been saying for quite awhile now that she is a scary dragon. She saw Shrek the other day and has seen sleeping beauty many times. Anyways she told me fire comes out of dragons mouths and then she says "I have fire in my mouth, see," then she opened her mouth wide for me to see.

I went to a doctor's appointment this week and you always have to leave a urine sample. Macie came into the bathroom with me and told me I needed to pee in a cup and where to get a cup from. After I was done she proceeded to tell me "good job mommy."

Last Sunday we were walking over to Grandma and Grandpa Liechty's house from Dustin's parents house. Macie was running the whole way. Me and my big stomach could hardly keep up with her. I told her "you are a good runner," she said "yeah, I'm super fast."

The other night sometime after 11pm I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed. I opened up my top drawer that I call my makeup drawer and there was a little black spider. I gasped because it surprised me. I told Dustin to come get it. Right away Macie was wide awake asking what was wrong, and saying "there's a spider in your makeup drawer, I want to see it." Dustin and I were just laughing. So he went and got her out of bed so she could see the spider and watch him kill it. For a couple days after that she would inform me that there was a spider in the garbage and I would remind her that it was dead.
Macie loves to take showers with me. The other morning she came into my bedroom and said, "mommy you stink and I stink too, we need to shower." She then proceeded to get ready to shower. What a kid. It's not everyday you are told that you stink.
Dustin accidentally stepped on one of Macie's toys and to say the least it hurt his foot bad. Macie was asking him what was wrong and he told her he stepped on her toy and hurt his foot. She then proceeded to go and put her toy in timeout. Later that day she made the toy go and apologize to him.

I will post more as they come and as I remember them.
