Macie is mostly potty trained!!!

Several weeks ago I decided to really try and potty train Macie because she was starting to have blow outs again and I was just sick of changing poopy diapers for a 2 1/2 year old. We gave it a solid week. It was terrible. I am not a patient person. She would never tell me when she needed to go to the bathroom. One day she did poo on the toilet at her Aunt Krystals because she happened to put her there at the right time. I was so excited we went and bought her princess underwear (she loves Cinderella and most all of the princess' now) and a toy cell phone with a purse. Then when she went in her pants we took her phone away for awhile. My final straw was when we had her in underwear with plastic pants over them and I kept asking her if she needed to poop. She kept telling me no and then she did poo in her underwear. When Dustin got home I said I am done. It is not worth it right now. I am going crazy and it is making Macie feel bad too. So we stopped. A couple of days later Macie told us she needed to go poop. She got on the toilet and did and she kept doing it for several days and she continues to do it and it has been several weeks. She wouldn't tell us when she needed to pee for awhile but one day she wanted to just wear underwear when we were going to her Aunt Krystal's house. I told her if he peed on Aunt Krystal's floor, she would be mad and so she started telling us when she needed to pee since then too. She has had very few accidents. They usually occur when she is playing with her friends because she doesn't want to stop playing and so she won't tell us. We are so proud of her. She has to be the one to decide when she needs to go to the bathroom though or she will throw a fit. She has even stayed completely dry a couple times through the night until she will finally say in the morning that she needs to go. The other morning when she got up, she was kind of dancing and bouncing around a little. I asked her if she needed to go to the bathroom and she told me yes, I need to pee real bad. I am so happy she is mostly potty trained. It is so nice. Way to go Macie!
